Bio
I have many passions but all stem from my childhood infatuation with nature, music
and folklore. I was raised surrounded by a frontier mind-set,
"work hard, play hard, and get tough."

My Grandpa
www.kquarterhorse.com Louie Krogman was one of the original cowboys
who homesteded in South Dakota before there were fences and established rodeos. He
always had plenty of rank horses on the Triangle K Ranch as well as spirited hired hands
to break them. One of these hired hands, Wes Wagner, went to Madison Square Gardens
at the age of 15  to ride bare back and saddle bronc as part of the rodeo circuit and later
married a tenacious tough little cowgirl by the name of Dorothy Krogman …. They just
happen to be my parents.   Cowboys are a colorful bunch, always interested in a good
story, funny joke, sad song or an underhanded prank and always full of BS…

Growing up on the edge of the Rosebud Reservation, I also experienced a very different
culture of the Lakota Sioux. I remember The Sioux as having a good sense of humor,
spiritual, creative, intuitive and advocating deep respect for the balance of nature.

Human nature, cultures, and community dynamics is very fascinating to me.
I love to be with people who have true grit that comes from working and living in close
connection with nature and rooting deep among there own people. I've lived among the
Cowboys and Sioux of South Dakota, Wyoming and Montana, City dudes of Washington
DC, Fisherman along the Oregon coast, Appalachian people of Western North Carolina
and the Florida Cracker's. All have created there own unique cultures. Where ever I go, I
love to play the small town bars, because this is where you will find colorful local people
and this is where vibrant stories fly, sad songs are sung, underhanded prank are played
and BS runs deep.
This is the back bone of good original songs. I love to just observe
the energy and dynamics of it all!

* Boil That Sugar Cane Down *
Placed  third
in song writing competition
Will McLean Festival!
$10
It seems that when you write songs every body wants to know who, what, where
and why. So here is a little explanation of each song. ( MOM!)
Turner Camp Waltz - Turner's Fish Camp is located just outside of Inverness FL,
right on the Withlacoochee River. Those who frequent the Camp are a very special
breed and are certainly apart of the Cracker Culture. The song speaks for it self.

Boil That Sugar Cane Down -  Placed  third in song writing
competition at the Will McLean Festival!
Through the Crystal River
Preserve State Park and in collaboration with the National Parks I help with the
restoration project at the Yulee Sugar Mill in Homassasa FL.  The Plantation
belonged to David Yulee and was destroyed during the Civil War. Only the Sugar
Mill was left behind.  Sugar cane,  in Florida was a big part of the cracker culture at
one time. Communities of people would come together to harvest and process
sugar cane into syrup, molasses, and rum.

On The Parkway - I lived in Western North Carolina in the Appalachian Mountains
for 26 years. I would travel the Blue Ridge Parkway on my way home from work. I
had a good friend that seemed to be at her wits end and invited her to take a ride
up on the parkway to get away from it all, in hopes that she could clear her mind.

Anina's Theme - Is a song I wrote for my daughter and Son in law and sang  while
they danced there first dance as a married couple at their wedding.

Honey Won't You Please - I dedicate to my husband Bob ( Don't you just love the
night sounds!)

Ode To A Cowboy - was written in loving memory of my father Wes Wagner.

I Really Don't Care - This is about  how one might feel when shit happens to often!

Man In The Moon -  Getting old is not for sissy's!

Prairie Reminiscence - I will always look back with fond memories of my
Grandfather's ranch.

Love is Like A Fine Wine - What was I thinking!
