Soggy Bottom is located on Hernando Lake which is just one of many
lakes connected to the Tsala Apopka Lake Chain

Tsala Apopka is a Native American name meaning “many waters,” and the description is apt: This large body of water is
composed of about 50 small lakes, many unnamed, that together form an expansive “chain.” Tsala Apopka is a natural lake
chain, with only a few man-made boat trails and canals. There are dozens of islands, hundreds of miles of shorelines and many
“finger lakes” that wind for miles and are perfect for fishing  and  paddling. The waters are a slight tea color from tannin and
range from 1’ to 15’ deep.

Planning for a day out on the water can be time consuming and expensive.  Don't  worry!  We've got everything from  Boats,
Bait, and BBQ,  Whether it's fishing, kayaking, or just relaxing... Soggy Bottom has got you covered!

We don't want convenience to feel like it cost you a fortune.  We want you to have fun, come back, and feel like you can
recommend us to your friends.  Soggy Bottom offers a great selection of live bait and tackle suited for fresh water fishing.

We also offer Kayak Rentals, Tours and Lessons from the beautiful Withlacoochee River.  Visit our Tours and Rentals page for
more information about both locations.

Whether you have lived here for years or are just visiting, we think you will find Soggy Bottom to be the best way to enjoy your day.
